Sentence Key Chores 2.0

The Sentence Key application builds upon the original concept by incorporating 91 new sentences accompanied by animated visuals, offering an enhanced learning experience for beginning language users. The interface allows learners to construct sentences using either words or picture symbols, then view the animated representation to reinforce understanding.

This tool is suitable for learners with diverse educational needs, including those requiring AAC support or individuals with autism, orthopedic impairments, or language development challenges.

Key features include:

• Ability to select four symbols or words to form a sentence.
• A library of 91 animated sentences related to daily chores.
• Proper grammatical structure in both text display and speech output.
• Touch-to-replay functionality for sentence animation and audio.
• Word-by-word highlighting to support word recognition skills.
• Color-coded choices (Yellow for subject, Green for verb, Orange for object) to facilitate learning of grammatical roles.
• User-friendly design devoid of in-app purchases, advertisements, or external links.

Teacher options provide customization and control:

• Flexibility to display only symbols, only words, or both simultaneously.
• Options to reset and review data after individual sessions.
• Selection from eight pre-configured symbol/word sets or customization by adding or removing items.
• Automation feature to cycle through new sets after a designated number of sentences.
• A match mode where learners describe randomly presented pictures to promote expressive language skills.

The main objective is for learners to identify the four essential components of a sentence following the "Who is doing what" structure. Correct selections are reinforced with animated visual and auditory feedback. Learners can explore different combinations until they successfully form complete sentences. Earning stars serves as a motivational element, rewarding correct sentence construction without errors.

Sentence Key aligns with the Common Core Standards in Language Arts, supporting skills across writing, reading fundamentals, grammar conventions, and understanding informational texts by illustrating the connection between images and accompanying text.
